July 27th, Climbing mountians

Hiked 22 miles to a shelter up on mountain.  I am a real hiking beast by now, didn't stop once when I climbed the 3,000 foot mountain.  Stopped at a wayside(store) for lunch, ate a bunch of ice cream and sandwiches.  My body is screaming for calories these days, as I usually can't carry enough food to supplement my high mileage.  As I was hiking to the shelter, I got hit with a good rain storm.  No lighting this time, which was a first. Met a sobo who was section hiking, we talked about the trail and its hardships.  Going to bed, big day ahead.
