June 26th to June 29th

Been resting like the doctor ordered. The steroids are doing their job an the swelling has gone down significantly. Bender and Reef made it into town, was great seeing those guys again there humor has been sorely missed. Just been eating great food trying to put on weight for the trail. Everyone is friendly to hikers around here I've noticed. Got a ride into a nearby town and saw the movie Prometheus. Very excited I got to finally see that movie. Got all the supplies I need to continue my journey tomorrow, I'm ready to cruise.

  1. How Great Thou Art (Second Stanza)
    When through the woods and forest glades I wander And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees;When I look down from lofty mountain grandeur And hear the brook and feel the gentle breeze; Then sings my soul, my Saviour God to Thee; How great Thou art! How great Thou art! Then sings my soul, my Saviour God to Thee;
    How great Thou art! How great Thou art!

  5. Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves. ~John Muir

  7. As you sit on the hillside, or lie prone under the trees of the forest, or sprawl wet-legged by a mountain stream, the great door, that does not look like a door, opens. ~Stephen Graham

  8. Anthony, I know that this verse sounds awsome when you look at the great mountains surrounding you, but it's through faith.

    Matthew 17:20 He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.”
